Philip Spellberg, Executive Vice President and CFOExecutive Vice President and CFO

Phil Spellberg is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Beech Street Capital’s financial operations including financial reporting, tax planning, budgeting and utilization of capital.  With more than 20 years experience in finance, servicing and operations, Phil possesses the highest standards of operational excellence, a necessary component to delivering the best execution and serving our clients’ needs.

Prior to joining Beech Street Capital, Phil was vice president, finance and accounting at CAPREIT, Inc. where he was responsible for oversight of all financial reporting and cash management activities with respect to several entities investing in multifamily real estate with combined assets in excess of $160 million and 3,000 units. In addition to his time at CAPREIT, Phil was director, chief financial officer at Wachovia Multifamily Capital, Inc.

Phil is a certified public accountant in the state of Illinois.

Phil received a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Master of Accounting Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
