J. Jay Lobell

Vice Chairman

Jay Lobell is one of our founding directors and shareholders, and has served as vice chairman of the board of directors since December 2009. Jay joined Meridian in 2009, and has served as its President since 2010. In that capacity, he works alongside Ralph Herzka, president and CEO, in charting the strategic course of Meridian, including in the development and implementation of new products and business activities.

From October 1996 through January 2005, Jay was a partner of Covington & Burling LLP, a national law firm, where he advised companies and individuals in a variety of litigation, regulatory and transactional matters.  From 2005 through 2009, Mr. Lobell served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Paramount Biosciences, LLC, a global pharmaceutical development and healthcare investment firm. Mr. Lobell also serves on the boards of several public and private biotechnology companies.
