Damon Reed, Vice President, Origination Vice President, Originations

Damon Reed, vice president and director of the manufactured home community (MHC) finance division, is actively involved in the origination of debt financing for commercial real estate properties and is responsible for originating manufactured home community loans on a nationwide basis. Reed is based in Beech Street’s Birmingham office.

Prior to joining Beech Street Capital, Reed was the director of Capmark’s MHC lending division. Reed joined GMAC Commercial Mortgage in 2003, where he established the Birmingham retail production office. When GMAC became Capmark, Reed was director of the MHC lending division, a position he held when Capmark was acquired by Berkadia Commercial Mortgage. During his career, Reed has closed in excess of $1.5 billion in commercial real estate loans and was recognized as one of Berkadia’s top producers in 2004, 2005 and 2006 for Fannie Mae multifamily and manufactured home community transactions.

Reed holds a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Auburn University. Reed is a licensed California real estate broker and a member of the Auburn Alumni Association.
