Chad Thomas Hagwood is actively involved in the origination of multifamily, manufactured home community and commercial real estate debt financing throughout the nation. Based out of the Birmingham office, Hagwood is charged with ensuring that Beech Street’s customers receive the best possible terms, service and attention throughout the loan process through diligent coordination of underwriting and legal personnel.

Prior to joining Beech Street Capital, Hagwood served as senior vice president and regional manager for Berkadia Commercial Mortgage, formally GMAC Commercial Mortgage and Capmark, where he was consistently one of the company’s top overall producers. Hagwood was named one of Birmingham’s “Heavy Hitters” in banking in 2010, and in 2005 was recognized by the Birmingham Business Journal as one of the 25 Innovative Leaders in the Banking and Finance Industry. During his career, Hagwood has closed in excess of $4 billion in commercial real estate transactions.

Hagwood earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1994. His areas of concentration were Commercial Real Estate Finance and Investment/Institutional Finance.
